Paul says to his protégé Timothy, and to us today, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We must never allow the gospel to become reduced to an intellectual debate. It is much too holy for mere arguments. Besides, no one has ever been converted by debate. Conversion is always a work of the Holy Spirit granting revelation to the darkened mind of a sinner. The Holy Spirit’s revelation is always truth accompanied with supernatural power that opens the cognitive awareness of an unbeliever.
