Jesus — Immanuel or Imposter?

2.  The Evidence Says He Can’t be a Lunatic

How could one have such balance of mind in the face of great adversity if He was mentally unstable? Only the severest case of delusional madness could have produced such a detachment from reality that He would have been calm under such adversity. But this does not seem reasonable either. Psychologists have studied the New Testament record of Jesus’ behavior and found no traces of lunacy or self-deception.

3.  The Evidence Says He is the Lord of Glory

If He was not a liar or mentally unstable, then the only rational conclusion is that Jesus is who He said He was. In the book, Evidence That Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell, there is a chart based on the C. S. Lewis quote. As you follow the possibilities of who the historic Jesus was, you see the logical progression of each argument in diagram form.2
