The Existence of God Part One

It is Foolish to Believe God Does Not Exist

This is what God says about those who reject His reality. The commentary of God on the intellectual interrogator who disputes the validity of God is he or she is a fool. To deny God is to deny one’s own existence. The image and likeness of God is all about us. It is in us through and through, although marred by our sinfulness. When God is removed for the reason of men’s existence, men stop existing as men. Even one of the most famed disputers of God, Friedrich Nietzsche, who claimed God had died said before he died, “to have lost God means madness; and when mankind will discover that it has lost God, universal madness will break out.” Why did an atheist not celebrate mankind’s liberation from the “silly notion” of God but instead lament man’s prospect?

It’s simple: where there is no acknowledgement of the God who made man and the universe man inhabits, nothing will make sense. Man is reduced, not exalted. He is left trying to explain all he can see and, yes, even himself—and he can’t. Such will drive a people, a culture, a world, to madness. To deny the Creator is to deny the reality He created.

God Can Only Be Known By Spiritual Revelation

Another reason God does not bother to try to persuade men of His existence is because God is not known by the intellect only. He is discerned in the spirit. God is Spirit and so are humans. In our case, we also have a physical body. Since God’s nature is spiritual He communicates through the spiritual dimension.
