The Canon of Scripture

Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” (Luke 24:44)

The Apostles and their Message

Jesus also endorsed the apostles. He chose and commissioned them to take His gospel to the world and represent Him in authority.

Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach. (Mark 3:14)

And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him. (Acts 5:32)

He ordained the apostles to be the foundation of His church.

Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20)

He gave the Holy Spirit to the apostles to guide them into all truth.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. (John 16:13-14)
