THE TEST OF JESUS’ ENDORSEMENT

05 - ChapterTwo-Extremists

What did Jesus endorse as inspired? Assuming Jesus was resurrected from the dead, then all His claims and teachings are vindicated as truth. In a later lesson the irrefutable evidence of His resurrection will be presented. He was and is the Son of God made flesh. He is certainly a credible witness to the validity of Scripture. His endorsements are proof of the authority of the Bible.

The Old Testament Canon

Jesus on several occasions spoke about the Old Testament and gave His credence to its heavenly inspiration. He never spoke contrary to it; it was the basis of every sermon He preached. Christ referred to the Old Testament as the Word of God. He pointed men to it as the rule of life as well as the prophetic word concerning His coming to the earth. He lived His life in compliance to its unfolding revelation of redemption.
