4.  We must verbally share truth about God.

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14). It is by the spoken word, anointed by the Spirit, that brings life to the sinner. Without the word of God, no one will ever believe.


You may be wondering how you can disciple someone when you are so young in the faith, needing to be discipled yourself. The answer is not as strange as it may seem. If you are willing to be a continual learner (by the way, that is what the word disciple means) you can disciple someone else while you’re being discipled.

 

Follow Jesus as a Model to Make Disciples.


Let’s take a closer look at how Jesus actually found, taught and discipled his disciples.

1.   Find someone interested in truth.


This is the first principle that we can observe in Jesus’ ministry. He began by working with those who showed interest in learning truth. In John 1:35 we read,
